Giverny in June

Platinum Pre School opened in July 2010 and in less than three years has become an integral part of the Randwick community, particularly through the relationship it has created with Ronald McDonald House. When possible, Platinum offers casual attendance places to children from Ronald McDonald House and their families in order to allow the parents of these families to have some time off and the children to spend some time away from the hospital. To provide further assistance, Platinum holds bi-annual Art Shows with all funds raised going directly to Ronald McDonald House at Randwick. Our inaugural event held at Crowne Plaza Coogee in May 2011 was a fabulous success with $28,000 raised. We are incredibly proud to report that these funds provided a much-need upgrade to office facilities at Ronald McDonald House in addition to the purchase of new sofa-beds for isolation units.

Platinum's second art show for Ronald McDonald House was held on Saturday 8 June. The Crowne Plaza, Coogee again generously donated the use of their ballroom and staff to us at no cost, we also received a huge amount of retail and other vouchers for auctions, raffles and lucky-door prizes.

Working very hard in collaberation with families, parents and the community our second art show event was even bigger, particularly in terms of the amount of money that we raised in support of the House and the families who so desperately rely on their care. Our fundraising goal of $30,000 was met and exceeded on the night. We have so far reached an amazing $34,000 and we're still counting!!!

If you attended on the night or were involved in the event, we would love to have your feedback for us to post here on our website. These testimonials will also help us in future years to raise even more support for the tireless efforts of everyone at Ronald McDonald House. Please enter your feedback below:
